"It's expensive." "I don't have the time." "I was going to but I never got around to it." "I will someday." These are all excuses people use when they're caught floating in life, when they aren't actually LIVING life. You can't live the same day over and over again for 80 years and call it a life. I ask you to not just go through the motions of what society deems to be the "perfect life". Now I do know you have to keep it within reason. I watched Harry potter for the first time this week(I know, crazy) and Dumbledore told Harry that he should stop looking in the mirror that shows him his deepest dreams and desires because he can't gain anything from it. Some things can't be changed, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't change the things you can. If you meet someone you like, ask to see them again, it could one day be a wife, husband, or new best friend. If you like someone's outfit, tell them. What I'm trying to say in this rambling state I'm in, is this... Live, love, and laugh through life, fearlessly. I know I know it sounds cliche and a bit "cute", but I could not be more serious. I'm nowhere near having my life together, but I know how great being fearless can feel. Not wreck less. But fearless. No fears of being judged or laughed at, no fears of failing. This is a task that you will forever work at and never fully accomplish but I promise that you will have a great journey along the way. I also cannot imagine my life without all the amazing people in it. I know I have a slight obsession with travel, but I'd stay in Rhame, ND for the rest of my life if it meant I got to keep my friends and family(everyone just has to come visit me instead). I can't thank you guys enough <3 I was messing around with my laptop the other day and made a little video of some of my best memories in life. "Life flashing before my eyes" you could say. I shared it on this page if anyone is curious. Who knows, maybe you're on itI made it for myself more than anyone else, also as tribute to my bff, Justyce coming on Friday(she's in half of it). As another week has passed in a place I'm starting to call home, I can't imagine it being different. Caitlin and I have mastered the tango as we cook in the kitchen, Fin has finally almost stopped hitting his head on the entrance into the kitchen, and these people are starting to become more than just acquaintances ;) Between classes and guitar lessons, nothing much was new before Thursday night. Thursday night was fun. A group of us decided to go to a party the ski club was hosting. And it had a theme. I don't know how well you know me, buuttt when someone tells me there's some sort of a theme...I don't take it lightly. The theme was kinda of ski bum, homeless-looking, gypsy. So, naturally, I wore my elephant hammer pants, jumper that says "Never give up on your dreams" and a bandana on top of my hair. I cannot believe I don't have a proper picture, but I'll just let you imagine it for yourself. I'd say I could put it on again but I lost my jumper when I got too hot in the 30 degree(-1 celsius) weather. Weird, I know. I came back, knocked on Caitlin's door at 1 in the morning and said "Now is not the time for sleeping." She kindly let me in, and I proceeded to tell her the happenings of the night.(who knows what was really true) Apparently I came back an hour later and told Karla and Caitlin, "My door's open, my board's open, my door's open, my board's open." I would testify to saying I was sleepwalking, but they think it was a result of the night. I've been made fun of for it ever since. Friday was the day I learned that it's extremely unusual to never have read or seen the Harry Potter movies. Then, I was forced to watch the first two on Friday night. Obviously, now I have to finish the rest. Before the marathon, Caitlin, Karla, two of Caitlin's friends, and I went up to Signal Hill. These was snow covering the hills so it was a really cool view. I wore my flip flops(jandals) and everyone thought I was crazy. I explained to them that I've been getting in trouble for wearing flip flops in the snow since I was in the second grade. It's Saturday now and we are all pretty much healthy! Therefore, we will be going out to town. I hope everyone has had a fantastic week and you aren't thinking too much about school (I know I'm not) Enjoy!
